The Easter bunny arrived early at Grace House Children\u2019s Hospice<\/a> in Sunderland.  Children who will benefit from the facilities that Grace House will offer when open, popped in with their families as North East-based RED Driving School dropped by with a boot full of Easter treats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RED, the UK\u2019s largest driving school, decided to fill one of its cars with Easter eggs as part of a competition asking its Facebook and Twitter followers to guess how many were crammed in. The lucky winner will receive four hours of free driving tuition to help to get them on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ian McIntosh, CEO at RED Driving School said: \u201cIt was a great privilege to deliver the Easter eggs to the brave young people within the Grace House North East Children\u2019s Hospice and I hope that we have been able to bring a little happiness to their Easter holiday.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a national business with North East roots, our heart is very much in the region and so it was important to us that the Easter eggs went to a good home.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, RED has grown to become a national driving school with a team of over 1,500 driving instructors teaching more than 100,000 learner drivers each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the children and their parents and siblings were there to greet the RED car as it arrived at the hospice and were excited to open the boot to see what was inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karen Maclennan, senior fundraiser at Grace House North East Children\u2019s Hospice appeal said: \u201cOn behalf of the children, we\u2019d like to say thanks to RED for bringing some Easter cheer to our hospice. As a charity, we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals and companies and so it is always very welcome when local businesses offer support. The children were delighted with the eggs!\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
