{"id":6391,"date":"2020-02-10T10:29:19","date_gmt":"2020-02-10T10:29:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.reddrivingschool.com\/?p=6391"},"modified":"2020-02-10T10:29:20","modified_gmt":"2020-02-10T10:29:20","slug":"job-opportunity-head-of-instructor-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reddrivingschool.com\/2020\/02\/job-opportunity-head-of-instructor-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunity &#8211; Head of Instructor Training"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RED is an award-winning business and has become one of the most successful driver training organisations in the UK helping a wide spectrum of customers from learner drivers to blue chip corporate customers achieve their goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To meet the\nneeds of our customers, we operate an internal training programme focussed on\nhelping people to qualify as driving instructors, learn the business skills to\nsucceed as a RED instructor, and progress to more advanced levels such as Fleet\nDriver Training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trainee Driving Instructors receive most of their one to one training from one of over 100 RED Instructors who have progressed to become Driving Instructor Trainers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reporting to a\ndirector, your role will be to lead a team of 11 full-time staff who provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>training\nfor the 100+ self-employed Driving Instructor Trainers;<\/li><li>support\nservices for all RED Trainee Instructors;<\/li><li>business\ntraining for instructors embarking on a career as a RED Instructor;<\/li><li>advanced\ncourses such as the DVSA Fleet course.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition,\nyou will liaise with external agencies such as the DVSA with respect to all\nmatters relating to training with particular reference to the National\nStandards for Driver Training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a key member\nof the RED management team, you will need to be committed and adaptable as the\nbusiness continues to grow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our ideal\ncandidate will be a very experienced in the field of training and development,\nprobably with corresponding qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be\ncomfortable working with a wide range of people, have great presentation skills\nand crucially be able to excel in a data-driven environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be\nmanaging a significant budget and you should have experience of managing costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strong people\nmanagement skills are important as you must have the ability to give feedback,\ncoach and build capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experience in the driving school sector would be useful but not essential. More important is that you can learn, adapt and help lead RED to even greater success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The role is\nbased on Teeside at our National HQ.
