{"id":760,"date":"2014-05-04T14:19:26","date_gmt":"2014-05-04T13:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/live-red-driving-school.pantheonsite.io\/?p=760"},"modified":"2019-12-18T23:58:14","modified_gmt":"2019-12-18T23:58:14","slug":"driving-theory-test-drop-price","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reddrivingschool.com\/2014\/05\/driving-theory-test-drop-price\/","title":{"rendered":"Driving Theory test price drop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The news may come as an annoyance to those of you who recently forked out for your theory test, however transport minister Stephen Hammond this week shared his intent to lower the cost of the theory test to \u00a325 by 2015, meaning savings of around \u00a3100 million for learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proposed changes will come into effect later this year, with the reduced price of \u00a325 effective from October \u2013 this will continue to drop until October next year, when it will reach \u00a323. As of October 2014 the Driving Theory test will drop by \u00a331 to \u00a325 in October 2014, a further drop of \u00a32 more planned in October 2015.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>There is currently a public consultation underway which&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/driving-theory-test-fee-changes target=\"_blank\">closes May 15th<\/a>, this legislation will not affect the cost of the practical test, and follows a raft of changes including a name change for the DSA (<a href=https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/driving-standards-agency target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"
